Did you know the Lower Hudson Valley is both #NYBioHV (an epicenter for biotech), and the fastest growing food and beverage region in New York? Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation CEO Mike Oates gave a state of the region talk at the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors conference on Monday. Highlighting exciting developments like the rise of SUNY New Paltz as a center for 3-D printing, and the Culinary Institute of America‘s starring role in TasteNY, Oates also announced a new HVEDC partnership with Rand Commercial and invited businesses with workforce needs to reach out to HVEDC for referrals to organizations with people, particularly disabled workers, who are ready to work. For realtors grappling with the effect of new tax laws on our area, it was an energizing reminder of all that’s great about living and working in our corner of the Empire State.
